Philip has gone off for his first day at nursery. And how do I feel? Just now I feel FREE - I don't have to worry about when the next feed or sleep is and I can get on with exciting things like tidying the house! I've got 3 days of him at nursery and me at home and then next week it's back to work. Only fear I have - that he'll learn that he'll get more attention at nursery if he plays up (fears don't have to be rational!)

We had a lovely couple of weeks Easter holiday. The first 5 days were spent in a mad dash around Southern England to catch up with people who are a bit far to pop down to in a weekend - including 2 sets of Great Grand Parents, one of whom was meeting Philip for the first time. We returned pretty worn out, and with a boy who could now roll over (and then immediately back again).

For the second week of the holidays we hired a lovely cottage over towards the North York Moors near Castle Howard. We dressed Philip up in his walking gear - cute all in one fleece - and took him for walks in the sling, visited National Trust properties, saw a steam train, took one look at the carpark from where you can walk to see the famous wild daffodils and drove on, etc. A proper Yorkshire holiday. Oh yes, and we slept a lot. Well, Ed and I did, in shifts.

We've unfortunately had some nasty colds, and Ed still has a nasty cough he can't shift. Philip lost his voice which was somewhat wierd - you could see infront of you a boy obviously very upset but with no sound coming out. It was convenient timing in some ways as well though, as he didn't wake Daniel Watson (aged 3 months ish) and we were in the same room as him to "hear" him wake.

Philip's also starting with his first tooth. It started appearing on Friday night and is coming through very slowly.
